About the Wounded Warfighter Program

In 2008, the Picatinny Arsenal Middle Forge Chapter established a program to help wounded service members from the Tri-state area returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. Typically, the first stop for these service members are medical facilities such as Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital. At some point in time, the service member transitions from treatment for his/her injuries to rehabilitation. Rehabilitation may be conducted at the cited medical facilities, or they could be transitioned to facilities in New Jersey such as the Lyons Campus of the VA NJ Health Care System. It is at this time that a gap begins to appear in the support provided to the service member by the normal military benefits program - a gap that our Chapter would like to try and address.

Our Chapter is asking that you consider donating to the Chapter's Wounded Warfighter Program so that we can provide assistance to the service member and his/her family during this difficult time.
