Robert A. Reisman Memorial Scholarship
The Picatinny Arsenal Middle Forge Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) has established a scholarship foundation to honor the late Robert A. Reisman, former Chief, Precision Munitions Division at U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. Mr. Reisman made significant contributions to the development of the Army's weapon systems during his assignment to the Director of Army Technology Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Research, Development and Acquisition). Through Mr. Reisman's groundbreaking efforts for autonomous munitions technology, smart munitions that dominate the battlefield in the 21st century.
This year, 2009, is the 7th consecutive year that the Picatinny Arsenal Middle Forge honors Mr. Reisman's memory with the awarding of annual scholarships to deserving high school seniors and undergraduate collegians from the local communities.
The Chapter will be awarding two (2) $2000 scholarships to high school seniors planning to attend a four year college, and two (2) $2000 scholarships to undergraduate students attending a four year college.
We are pleased to announce that in 2009, one (1) $5000 scholarship will be awarded to a high school student planning to attend the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark College of Engineering. This scholarship is sponsored by Picatinny Arsenal Middle Forge Chapter, the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the Polymer Processing Institute at NJIT.
The applicants will be judged on their scholastic achievements, leadership ability, and extracurricular activities; and will be required to write an essay.

The Picatinny Arsenal Middle Forge Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) is collecting the following items to ship to "Our Marines" of Co G that were deployed last May.
